This placeholder describes how Monkeys Ecom will handle your personal information. We collect the minimum needed to run the platform. Final wording will be reviewed before launch.

What we collect

  • Account details (name, email) you provide at sign-up.
  • Purchase and billing data processed by Stripe.
  • Your Discord ID and username if you link Discord.
  • Course progress and activity on the platform.

How we use it

To provide your account and course access, process payments, sync your Discord roles, send transactional email, and improve the product.

Who we share it with

We use trusted processors to run the service, each handling only what they need: Supabase (accounts & data), Stripe (payments), Mux (video), Discord (community roles), Resend (transactional email), and an email provider for optional marketing. We don’t sell your data.

Marketing

We only add you to marketing email if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request account deletion, and we’ll remove your personal data (subject to records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons).

Your rights

Under the NZ Privacy Act you can request access to, or correction of, your personal information. Contact us to do so.

Security

Access to content is enforced server-side, secrets are kept server-only, and video and downloads are served through short-lived signed URLs.
